About Starmap V1
is a proof of concept. It was designed to visualize terrain areas on planets and help Players of StarCitizen with navigation and providing racing statistics.
At the beginning of the year 2023, we had some fundamental breakthrough on planet textures.
To maintain the even higher Quality and level of detail, the next version (v2) run on Cesium to provide full 3d rendered surfaces with tracking and visuals on the next level.
The current state of the tool is in development and is not announced publicly.
It is planned to do so with the new cesium framework, top performance, most important features deployed and a stable build.
